I am very pleased to welcome you to Pantomics, Inc., a start up
company engaging in tissue array production and related
services.
To achieve high quality and homogeneity in tissue array
products, we started our company with
a dedicated tissue acquisition and processing system. We
have now built up a large volume of optimally processed tissues
with comprehensive accompanying data including age, sex,
diagnosis and appropriate grading/staging. This rich repository
has allowed us to make tissue arrays covering a wide range of
normal, reactive, pre-malignant and malignant conditions. I
would like to invite you to experience our high quality
products.
For more than 20 years, I have been working in the field of
clinical, academic and biotech pathology, being heavily involved
in the use of human tissues and their derivatives. My group
started to adopt tissue array technology soon after it was
introduced in the late 90’s. Tissue array technology greatly
accelerated our gene expression profiling projects employing
immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH).
With this technology, we were able to organize relevant and
subtle histological changes into “pathology models’ that greatly
helped us to eliminate targets unrelated to disease during the
drug discovery process in my former biotech company. Despite
their usefulness, we noticed that IHC and ISH analyses on tissue
arrays often required extra efforts in protocol optimization.
This was due to construction of arrays from heterogeneous tissue
blocks of different quality caused by variation in storage age
and fixation/processing history. Our accumulated experience in
the use of tissue arrays has become the foundation for setting
up Pantomics, Inc., and for designing and providing our array
products and array-based services.
